This is an insole study done for Ecco back in 2018. The work is part of an InnoBooster funded project with the Aalborg-based 3D printing company Create it Real. A user's biology informs the geometry of a customized insole. I developed a prototype for a software application that takes in an image of a foot pressure map from a user and generates a customized 3d printable insole for them. The material distribution is correlated to the pressure map. There were different studies: in some different materials were used to create different pressure areas, while in others, the insole correlates to the pressure map by geometry distribution.
